Concentrated source of omega-6 GLA
Although Western diets typically contain large amounts of the omega-6 essential fatty acid from corn and safflower oils, the body's conversion to the active GLA form can be impeded by various factors, thus disturbing fatty acid balance in favor of synthesis of proinflammatory compounds. Borage oil provides a higher ratio of GLA to linoleic acid than evening primrose oil and similar plant oils and can be used to help reestablish a healthier omega-6 fatty acid balance. Oil is cold-pressed and free of hexane or other solvents.
One softgel contains: 1000mg cold-pressed Borage Oil, containing 160mg gamma linolenic acid (GLA)
Suggested Use: 1 softgel daily with meal, or as directed by your healthcare provider.
